Rebecca Reyes a.k.a. Reby Sky: Opposing an Officer (4/1/2008)

Former Playboy model Rebecca Reyes, who is better known as Reby Sky, was arrested and charged with opposing an officer in Temple Terrace, Florida.

According to reports, Reyes was pulled over by police near her home on December 23rd because of a broken taillight. Investigators say she got out of the car and cursed them out.

“I believe her statement was ‘Get the f*** off of me. You have no reason to touch me.’,” said Officer Greg Stavanus at her trial.

It took the jury less than an hour to find Reyes guilty on Tuesday. The judge sentenced her to a year of probation and 48 hours of community service picking up trash for the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

What would you like to know... Pandora deserves the top rating and is a fantastic application for the iPhone

Pandora rocks its way to the top of the iPhone App Store, reviewers get a break

Apple showed us a new iTunes section this week where the most downloaded applications in the App Store were revealed. Pandora Radio was the top application of the year with over 2 million downloads as of yesterday. It is personally the most used application on my original iPhone because I rarely use it any more as a phone while it sits in a dock connected to my stereo receiver serving up Pandora music to my entire household. We used it all last weekend to stream Christmas tunes as we put up the tree and decorations. IMHO, Pandora deserves the top rating and is a fantastic application for the iPhone. VentureBeat has a good discussion on Pandora for the iPhone.

2008: Black Friday vs. Cyber Monday

Google Insights for Search compares overall and regional search interest between the holiday retail shopping terms Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving and refers to the first day of Christmas shopping at traditional brick and mortar stores, whereas Cyber Monday occurs exclusively online the Monday after Thanksgiving and kicks off the increase in internet holiday shopping.

Google Insights for Search can contrast searcher interest in two up to five terms from within different time periods.

The graph below show search interest in Black Friday 2007 vs. Cyber Monday 2007.

Clearly search interest was much greater for Black Friday during 2007 than Cyber Monday.

How to Cook A Turkey?

Or you can use a TURKEY BAG. No basting required

HOW MANY MINUTES PER POUND DO YOU COOK A STUFFED TURKEY?

About 20 minutes per pound. So your 38 lb. turkey is going to take about 12-13 hours. Be sure to put a tinfoil tent over the top of the turkey for the first 5-6 hours, so the skin doesn't get too browned. And after you remove the tent, baste the turkey every 30 minutes to keep it moist.

Circuit City Deals

Circuit City Deals for Black Friday .. what are the hot items going to be this year. What can you all not live without?

Circuit City Deals

No sooner had Best Buy offered their Black Friday 2008 announcement, the district town quickly followed by announcements of the transaction. Circuit City ad shows a large number of transactions should be on a number of video games and some games on consoles, some more transactions than others.

Deals for games on Sony PSP, PS2 and PS3 is not as widespread as the Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and Wii. Black Friday is an important day for Circuit City, which recently declared bankruptcy. We hope buyers will be able to show that people still spend money in shops, and can be a great sign for the start of holiday season.

To kick off the holiday season

I think I speak for the entire QREW in wishing all the VQ readers a very happy, and safe Thanksgiving day.

And for those of you who will brave the angry mobs on Black Friday...man, what a body won't do to save a few bucks ;)~ But you will make some anxious retailer's very happy. Still, shop on-line already, it's the 21st century for craps sake!

ALL WITH A LASER AND A LEAF

If you have a camera that allows you to hold open the shutter, grab a laser and paint away.

By paint... we mean the thing you are photographing - ok... shine the laser on the subject and wiggle it around. Give it a try... on the turkey next week.

Oh the things you will learn! Have fun and remember VQ is not responsible ... for anything!
